Manado Porridge
Typical food of the most popular North Sulawesi is Tinutuan or Midal (Manado porridge). In the Minahasa region are typical foods that are rarely found in other regions in Indonesia, such as rintek wuuk or so called RW (dog meat), and Paniki (cuisine of the bat), snake meat (meat bats). Other typical foods such as fufu woku blanga and skipjack are often found in coastal areas.
Turn pigs (1 pig tail burned by playing on the coals of fire), usually served at parties, Pig Feathers Fill (made from pork meat mixed with spices typical of of Manado and burned in bamboo). There is also a typical drink from Manado and the surrounding area that is "saguer" which is a kind of wine or a wine that comes from palm trees. It has an alcohol content Saguer, Cap tikus (high alcohol from the fermentation process)
